Damian and Tina Arena’s Rumba

This week was movie week so we were dancing the Rumba to I Dreamed a Dream from the blockbuster film of last year Les Miserable. And it was one of those nights where it all came together rather nicely.

After last week’s comments from the judges questioning the connection between both of us during the Tango and the importance of it in the partnership. The Rumba was a great dance to have this week as being the slowest of the Latin dances it presents itself with ample opportunities to showcase the connection. So with that being said this week was all about letting go and being in the moment with each other, mission accomplished. Its not easy to surrender yourself to someone you’ve known for a short time let alone in front of millions of viewers as well and perform a dance you just learnt in a few days!  Well-done partner…

The elements we put in place really helped bring the piece to life and a big shout out to Michelle on the vocals! helping us receive our highest score of the season.
